If you’re seeing the “Your Instagram account is ineligible for using Instagram APIs” error while trying to connect to a third-party tool like Zorcha, you’re in the right place.
Unfortunately, this isn’t something we at Zorcha can directly fix—but we can help you understand why it’s happening and what you can do to try to resolve it.
❗Why This Error Happens
Instagram has recently tightened restrictions around API access. Accounts are now being blocked from using Instagram APIs if they have been flagged for violating community guidelines—even if it was just one post or reel.
To check if this applies to you:
Go to Instagram Settings → Account Status
Look for any content that’s been flagged, restricted, or removed
If you’ve recently posted something that violated Instagram’s rules, this is likely the cause.
⚠️ Important:
There are many outdated guides online suggesting that linking your Facebook Page or changing account types will fix this. These won’t work. The restriction is account-level and enforced by Instagram.
✅ What You Can Try
Here are the only reliable steps you can take:
Appeal the Restricted Content
If you believe your post was wrongly flagged, tap the ‘Appeal’ button in the Account Status section. While not guaranteed, some appeals are approved.
Understand the Violation
Identify what might have triggered the restriction (e.g., sensitive content, misleading captions, spammy behavior) and avoid repeating it in future posts. Repeated violations could lead to account-wide bans.
Reach Out to Instagram Support
You can raise a ticket via the Instagram Help Center or report a problem directly through the app. (Settings → Help → Report a Problem)
