Hey,
Running into a 400 Error while trying to connect your Instagram account to Zorcha? Don’t worry—it’s more common than you think, and we’ll walk you through what it means and how to fix it.
What is the 400 Error?
The 400 Error is an HTTP error that stands for “Bad Request.” In simpler terms, it means the request your browser sent to Instagram’s servers couldn’t be processed—usually due to a problem on your end (a.k.a. the client side).
Here’s why this might happen:
Your browser may have corrupted or outdated cookies.
You're logged into Instagram on multiple devices, causing a conflict.
The browser or device you're using might not be playing nice with the login flow.
How to Fix the 400 Error When Connecting Instagram
There’s no one-size-fits-all fix, but here are several things you can try. One of them usually works:
Open in Incognito Mode
This disables extensions and cached data that could be causing the issue.
→ On Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac)
Switch Your Network
Try connecting over a different Wi-Fi or your mobile hotspot. Some networks block certain requests.
Try a Different Browser
If you’re using Chrome, try Firefox or Safari—and vice versa.
Use Another Device or PC
Sometimes the issue is isolated to one device. Switching helps rule that out.
Log Out of Instagram on All Devices
Then log back in on just one device and try connecting again through Zorcha.
Wait and Retry After a Few Minutes
Instagram might temporarily block requests if too many attempts are made. Give it a short break.
